The second group of hand washing stations has arrived. The 15 new stations will be installed next to the boy’s bathrooms. These will allow the boys to use a separate facility; the girls already have their own station. OAT provided the stations.
As schools reopened across Tanzania on June 29th, the government mandated that hand washing stations be placed at the entrance of all classrooms.
Sandra Vaughan, Grand Circle Foundation Project Manager East Africa, coordinated the purchase and installation of dozens of hand washing stations plus soap at all GCF-sponsored schools to ensure the schools will be in compliance with the mandate, and that the children and teachers will be safe.
