Life Skills 101

Each year, students get life-skills practice by chopping down and stacking the school’s cornstalks, leaving the bean plants behind for a later harvest.  After drying for awhile, the remaining corn ears will be pulled and the kernels separated for storage. The stalks will be sold as feed for cattle or other livestock.

Or, sometimes (who knew!), they’re just a sweet treat!
